Iceland Stopover
3 nights
When going to Europe, stop in one of the most unspoiled places on earth. With a population of just over 300,000 ICELAND combines Nordic style and sophistication with dramatic nature and geothermal activity. And it is not just the nature in Iceland that is unspoiled but the culture as well. From its first settlers in 874 c.e the country developed over 1000years with very little influence from the outside world. The countries language, government and laws are very similar to the old Vikings; as well as many cultural traditions such as the sagas. So take a break on your way to Europe to discover this unspoiled gem of nature and man.
Town and Nature break.

Day 3: Reykjavik and the Blue Lagoon
We start the morning with a 3 hour Reykjavik city tour. We see the home of the world’s oldest parliament, the modern church Hallgrimskirkja, the lake in the center of the city inhabited by numerous waterfowl, modern suburbs contrasting with the older parts of the city with their colorful little houses and much more. The afternoon is free for shopping and sightseeing in Reykjavik city center. Depart at 18:00 for an evening tour to the Blue Lagoon. We drive through rough lava fields to visit the Blue Lagoon where you can relax in its rejuvenating geothermal water. The water is very natural and rich in minerals believed to have healing powers.
