Day 1: Arrive St. Petersburg On arrival in St. Petersburg, a local guide will accompany your transfer by private car to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to explore this exciting city on your own. Former czarist palaces, extravagant mansions, and richly decorated churches create an imperial ambience all around the city, which used to be the home of the Russian czars for two hundred years. Overnight at one of the fine hotels listed below.

Day 2: City Sightseeing/Peter and Paul Fortress An introduction tour of the city around Nevsky Prospect, St. Isaac's Cathedral, the Palace Square, the Hermitage and along the many Canals across the city. The tour includes a visit to the Peter & Pauls Fortress,founded in 1703 by Peter the Great as the beginning of the city. The Cathedral of St. Peter & Paul is the main part of the fortress complex. It is the burial place of the Czars beginning from Peter the Great. The remains of Nicholas II and his family were burried here on the 17th of July 1998. Closed Wednesday's & last Tuesday of the month.After the guided tour you will have plenty of time to enjoy a leisurely stroll along the bustling avenue of Nevsky Prospekt. Day 3: Hermitage Tour/Folklore Show The world famous art collection of Hermitage is accommodated in 4 buildings: Winter Palace, Small Hermitage, Old Hermitage and New Hermitage. The Winter Palace is a part of the Hermitage, the fabulously rich treasure house of art of Western European art (da Vinci, Raphael, Rembrandt etc) and antiquities of sculpture & archaeological relics. The tour includes the general orientation excursion around the museum - to show the visitors the highlights of the museum collection. Closed on Monday's.Opened 10:30-17:00. Actual visit 2,5 hours.Afternoon free to explore or rest for your evening at the Mariansky Theatre. The Mariinsky Theatre (formerly the Kirov) features the opera and ballet troupes famous the world over. Day 4: Depart St. Petersburg This morning you have the opportunity to do some last minute shopping or sightseeing. In the afternoon, guided transfer by private car to the railway station and return to Helsinki with arrival late in the evening.
